A Photo Album Before A Scrapbook.

January 5th, 2010

I did a project recently based on Stacy Julian’s philosophy and I’m really happy with how it turned out.  My husband’s surprise race day at the Indy track produced several hundred photos (photography is my other hobby).  I knew that I wanted to do a kick ass scrapbook about his day, but I also know that I didn’t have the time or motivation (it was in September) at that point in life.  ha ha  But I also knew that he was going to want to look at those photos often, so I bought a nice textured faux leather 2-up photo album and arranged all his photos inside that for him.  Then I tied some ribbons to the spine (because I can’t help myself–I must do it!) and used some rub-ons to put a title on the front of the album.  I also cut out a silhouette of him driving the race car and attached that to the front with 3-D pop dots.  He absolutely loves it and looks at it every day.  So that’s where they will stay until I get motivated enough to make him a rockin’ scrapbook.  And you know what?  It’s okay.  Really.  Thanks, Stacy!
