My latest Pazzles project

February 9th, 2009

So if you’ve been reading my blog for any length of time you know that I love the Pazzles Inspiration machine and that I’ve been to a couple scrapbooking conventions and worked for my friend Klo demoing the machine.  I’ve shown several projects by me and some of my scrapbooker friends who own Pazzles here before, and here’s another one I did the other day.  Figured I’d take a break from bombarding you with all the “auction talk” (sorry to my non-scrapbooker readers!) and show you what I made for my bathroom mirror.

Cool, huh?  I put this on my husband’s side of the mirror because he’s always cheerful and sunny in the morning and I hate him for that (haha) and I’m not usually pleasant, which makes me feel bad so this way I can tell him GOOD MORNING honey without actually SAYING it!

I’ve got another little project planned in my head but when I tried to actually DO it there was a roadblock, so I have to call my friend Klo the Pazzles Guru and ask her what I did wrong!

:)

Love your site and have subscribed. Next time you come to Pleasanton, CA, you will have another “stalker” following you :-)

I am about to purchase a Pazzle Inspiration – just as soon as my spouse confirms that the family bank account will allow it.

I am an origami artist (see my work at http://berrylyn.blogspot.com). My primary use of the machine will thus be embossing crease patterns on pieces of paper to make folding quicker and more accurate (hopefully). The tricky bit will be finding out how to make the machine deboss as well as emboss in order to produce “mountain” and “valley” crease guides.

I presume I will have to turn the piece over to achieve this. I am concerned about the accuracy of this. Do you have any suggestions for ensuring that the crease guides line up precisely?

Or is there a smart way to do both embossing and debossing without removing the paper from the machine and/or repositioning the paper in the mat?

Of course, there are all kinds of possibilities for decorative paper treatment as well as putting folding creases in the paper. I have no doubt that my experiments and successes will end up on my own blog space. I will keep you posted in case you want to link or cross reference.

I am also a font maker, which opens up further avenues for creative experimentation.
