Scrapbook the little things

September 11th, 2007

I love the idea of putting the little things and the little moments in my scrapbooks.  These are things that my brain will never have retained 20 years from now.  What am I saying?  I won’t remember them 5 years from now.  For instance, my daughter has a birth mark on her body somewhere and I’m always thinking I’ll scrapbook that some day.  Another thing is her freckles.  If you have freckles, do you have them forever?  I have no idea, so I took photos of her freckles in case they went away when she was older or something.  It’s so interesting to me because I’ve never seen anyone with freckles on their eyelids before.  I guess I don’t look at other people’s faces as closely as I do my own kid’s, ya know?

Having said that, here’s the layout I did about her freckles.  In case you can’t read the journaling, here it is:

In the last few years freckles have started popping up on your pretty face. I love how you even have two on your eyelid and a few on your chin. You hate them & asked me to cover them up with my makeup for your 2nd grade school photo. I don’t remember having any as a kid, so I don’t know if freckles stay with you forever or eventually fade away, so I took this picture to remind me of your sweet face just in case it changes someday. I love your freckles.
Momma

In case you’re wondering, here are the supplies that I used for this layout:

Colorbox “rouge” fluid chalk
Office Depot transparency

Heidi Swapp SHE chipboard letters
Heidi Swapp ghost heart (inked the edges)
